status bar disappear

Hey all,

My Gnome + Enlightenment have suddenly begun to act strange.
When I come into X the status/start bar at the buttom of the
screen start to pop up and very quickly disappear again. This
happens for about 30 secounds (perhaps more), and then the
bar disappear for ever.

Does anybody have any clue why this is happing or in which
configuaration file the problem maybe could be fixed ?

Any help would be appreciated.
