Memprof failure

Hi,

I'm trying to use memprof to chase memory leaks in my prog, but i can't 
manage to use it.
i start memprof, then run my prog. memprof draw a yellow bar and eat all 
my CPU, doing nothing else.
here a ps result :

I try with several other Gnome/GTK+ progs, and it ends up with the same 
result.

My system : Mandrake 7.0 - October Gnome - memprof-0.3.0 - 
binutils-2.9.5.0.16

Any help appreciated.
