Danny--
I ran into the same problem trying to compile bonobo. What worked for me is
this: change into the directory that you untarred the source into. Among
the many files and directories there should be a bonobo directory. Change
into that directory and do a make and I think a make install. Then change
into the parent directory and try running make again. It should find the
lib and continue on. Then you can run the make install. Now, after I had
done this though, I went back into gnumeric did a make clean and went
through the steps again and Gnumeric still would not find the bonobo libs
(and I did do the ldconfig). So I don't know if my shortcut messed
something up in the build or what.
