It's an applet... it stays on the panel all the time... whether your're playing
a CD or not...

Really? Which others? It's a feature I don't think I can live without
anymore... that whole umounting/mounting thing is perhaps the #3 reason people
stick with Windows (#2 being the need to use 'su' and #1 being the loss of their
old applications).
