well Olaf
first of all are u trying to download a buch of packages from say a list of a
particular site, if so consider using an ftp client to connect to the ftp site,
then select on the ones u need then click the opposite arrow to transfer them
in ur pc
hope that helps, if u require further info on how to use an ftp client from me
