Pan; How to send/receive news from localhost??

Hello,
i want to switch the newsconnection from my providers newsserver to
localhost, because i want to let leafnode do the job. This works, BUT:

How could Pan read this news?
Every time i start Pan to read i could see a message at the console
"socket created: localhost: port 119: sockfd 9

But nothing else happend...
If i start leafnode (fetchnews) to get the news, this is not happend,
because it replies there are`nt any!

Any clues?
