libpixbufloader-png.so is missing

Hi,

I'm compiling gnome entirely from source. I have compiled everything and
it didn't give
errors, so I thought I was all set.

But when I do startx I get the following error:
 
** WARNING **: Unable to load module: libpixbufloader-png.so:
libpixbufloader-png.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or
directory

When I look for this file in /usr/lib/gdk-pixbuf/loaders/ it isn't there

But I compiled gdk-pixbuf-0.8.0.tar.gz without any problems. My panels
have no images, 
because they are png files I presume. 

Am I missing something?
