esound_dev

Hi all!

I was trying to compile some GNOME applications on a debian potato, and
all of the compilations fail with the following error:

ld: collect: cannot find -lesd

I've seen that I've got esound already installed, but only the .so
versions. Looking in my potato CD, I only found an esound_common,
esound_alsa and esound. 

I guess I also need the libesd.a to be able to compile. Could somebody
tell me where to find the esound_dev package (if this is the name)? or
what is the problem I'm having?
