xchat-1.2.1.tar.gz is half a year old, the latest stable release 1.4.0 was
available for a week a or two.
glib and gtk+ there are with versions 1.2.6, though 1.2.7 is available.
some gnome-*whatever*-1.0.56 are available, though there are just one of
them - gnome-libs-1.0.56
maybe there shouldn't be the most recent versions as they are less tested,
but the directory is named latest... :)
also, there are duplicating packages just with different versions: esound,
ORBit.
