At my university I have two different accounts. One is Debian and the
other is (recently) RedHat. I was running gnome (1.1.5) on my Debian
account and did a rlogin to the RedHat server. I decided to run the gnome
panel (1.0.39). To my admiration the RedHat panel discovered that I was
already running a panel (!) and some applets were started inside my first
panel and were working fine. This is the first proof that I saw that
CORBA (therefore GNOME) is actually network transparent. I am very
impresed!:-) Hail GNOME and CORBA! :)
