Which SCO Unix? OpenServer or UnixWare? I highly suspect you'll have
the least problems with UW7, simply because they've added a lot of
compatibility to their libraries to support certain functionalities that
other Unixen (like Linux) like to do differently than UnixWare.
OpenServer, on the other hand, has remained rooted in 1997 -- ah, the
days before my grandmother had heard of Linux!
Obviously you need to get GLib and Gtk+ running first. At that point
you might want to compile a few simple apps like, oh, gtkfontsel and
gpasman to make sure the basics are working. Then compile the rest as
recommended on the GNOME site.
If you run into trouble, post a large chunk of the last things the
system printed before it died. Hopefully it'll die in ./configure with
an intelligible error message if it has trouble at all, but sometimes
we're not that lucky.
Good luck,
