Turning off mouse acceleration for quake2

Hi!
How can I turn off the mouse acceleration in gnome for a specific programm?
Quake2 using the utah-glx drivers is not playable with mouse acceleration..
Is there any way to turn it off for just that programm?

Any other ideas on how to get quake2 playable in gnome? Every thing else is running fine, 
but you _really_ can't play with mouse acceleration..
