Just thought I should let someone know....
When I did the install "lynx -source http://spidermonkey.helixcode.com/go-gnome
| sh", it downloaded all the modules requested but then died about half way
through the install. It grabbed up all my ram (256M) and filled up all my swap
space. I then had to kill the install to get control of my computer. I did this
twice before I rebooted. After a reboot, I was unable to start gnome. Since I
had a backup of my system, I installed RH6.2 and started from scratch. This
time, the install of helix went flawlessly.
My system before was a RH6.1 that had the oct gnome and .16 enlightenment
updates.
my hardware is ...

Also, is there a way to stop enlightenment's animated "gates of hell" from
stomping on the new pretty gnome splash screen? Not that it matters much
because I hardly reboot this computer. It's just that someone went to allot of
hard work to make such a touching splash screen, I'd like to see it when I do
reboot.
TIA!
