default theme

howdy, after i installed gnome 1.2 from helix code, it change my gtk theme
to a nice light grey, which i liked apart rom the blue for selecting, but
now i change to a differewnt theme i was testing and now cant get the old
one back, when i choose default it goes to the darker grey look with a
purple type of selecting which it used to be before i got 1.2, 
so how do i get the nice lighter one back? no of the themes llok like it
that i have.

also why does some buttom in gnumeric no follow the theme? well buttons for
the font colour and background colour and the rows and cols
