Hello here :)
First, I want to say that I am starting to love gnome-terminal. The
--tclass option was something I really missed in xterm (if not for the
reproducable segfault when I specify --font option, things would be
completely fine :) ). Only thing that I'd like to be added to the class
config is window dimetions, I have some terminals 100x40, some 100x30,
some 80x4 and some 100x65.
Another thing I miss in gnome-terminal is ability to be a console window. I
still have to use xterm to see console messages and to be the main launch
terminal for the session (I almost never run commands from menus).
And while I am at it, I want to write about my problem. My console window
is small, only 4 lines high so after I switched to Gnome I decided to add
it to the panel so it was swallowed by it. It worked but then I couldn't
get the console window inside the panel to be focused (using Sawfish 0.31
with point-to-focus focus model). Can swallowed app be focused at all and
if yes, how do I do it?
I am using gnome-terminal 1.2.2.1, libzvt 2.2.7 on sparc solaris 7.
