Installing Helix Gnome 1.2 on an XFree4.0.1 box - dependency problem

Hi Everyone, I hope this isn't too far OT. I just installed XF4.0.1 on my ppc
linux box and tried to install Helix Gnome 1.2 from rpms. The install failed
dependency checking with the error:

[/mnt/cdrom:1001]
# rpm -Uvh --test *.rpm
error: failed dependencies:
         libbz2.so.0 is needed by gnome-core-1.2.1-0_helix_3

It seems libbz2.so.0 is deprecated to libbz2.so.1 in the new bzip2 package which
is required by the newer RPM package (so I needed that to install X because of
the major version number). What can I do to get around this - is there a new
gnome-core-1.2.1-0_helix_3 RPM (src or ppc) that recognises libbz2.so.1 or can I
symlink libbz2.so.0 to libbz2.so.1 and not break Gnome.

any help would be greatly appreciated
thanks
Dan Kortschak
