Locking the screen

Morning everybody,

I've just a little problem with locking the screen. I've installed Gnome 1.4
on my sparc and it's running very good. But when I try to lock the screen,
nothing happens. When I try to lock the screen over the XScreenSaverTool, it
says, that 'locking not enabled'. 
Does anyone know where to set this option?
