Here's what I've got:

[ben ben:~]$ locate gdm.conf
/etc/X11/gdm/gdm.conf
/etc/X11/gdm/gdm.conf.rpmnew
/etc/X11/gdm/gdm.conf~
/etc/X11/gdm/gdm.conf.rpmsave
/etc/X11/gdm/factory-gdm.conf
/etc/gdm.save/gdm.conf
[ben ben:~]$ 


You want to edit /etc/X11/gdm/gdm.conf if you have it...
