Yes it doesn't. It seems you have a delta in libtool version. Please 
report what is it ?
You could also try to take ORBit directly from CVS and make a tarball 
from it. This tarball will replace the one you got with the rpm package
For that do:

export CVSROOT=":pserver:anonymous anoncvs gnome org:/cvs/gnome"
cvs login
==> it will ask you a password. just hit <enter>
cvs export -r ORBIT_0_5_12 -d ORBit-0.5.12 ORBit
cd ORBIT_0_5_12
am_opt="-a  -c --gnu" ./autogen.sh --help
cd ..
tar cvzf <rpm_root_dir>/SOURCES/ORBit-0.5.12.tar.gz ORBit-0.5.12

=> Then try to rebuild ...
