nautilus problem

After upgrading a bunch of ximian components nautilus started dying and
respawning continually. When starting nautilus from the command line I
get this error message,

nautilus: error while loading shared libraries:
/usr/lib/libnautilus-private.so.0: undefined symbol:
eel_background_get_sample_size

and then it dies and respawns, etc.

Running Mandrake 8.0 and ximian gnome, nautilus-1.0.4-ximian.10 ,
(lib)eel(-devel)-1.0.2-ximian.3

Anyone had a similar problem.
