It's sometimes difficult to remember that GTK+ is an offshoot of The Gimp when you consider that the whole Gnome environment looks so bland by default when installed with many distributions. I agree with a few points in this thread about the KDE menu screenshot (particularly the relationship between the icon and the text being broken), but I'd hazard a guess that the menu is not compulsory or even part of the 'first-installed' KDE3 setup. That's the point really, provided it's optional, I wouldn't have a problem with it. Anything that makes Gnome look more hip & happening - out of the box - would be welcomed provided the eye-candy is turn-offable for those who don't want it. Regards :-) -- Lee J. Moore
