The GnomeDateEdit widget

Using the GnomeDateEdit widget (created by gnome_date_edit_new()) makes some
problems when calling gnome_date_edit_new() with (time_t)0 as the first
arg: then the widget is presented with the actual date and not with 01/01/1970.
I think, (time_t)0 means "Jan 1, 1970" and not the current date.
