Re: Version Of Gnome - How To Tell?

There was some talk about this on desktop devel a few weeks ago. There
really isn't a definitive way to determine the version number of gnome,
since gnome is really just a collection of components that have there
own release schedules that are collected to make gnome. But in general
most current distros come with version 1.4. 2.0 is on it's way woohoo.
