Problem with gnome canvas

Hi!
I'm using gnome canvas. When I try to draw a line with many crossings 
with itselfs (for istance when I draw the path of a car that goes on the 
same street more than once),  some bugs appears and the just drawed item 
does not appear like a line but like a group of horizontal lines 
overlapped with the desired one.
How can I resolve this problem?
