Monitor going to sleep

Subject: Monitor going to sleep

I am running RedHat 9 on my Dell laptop. I have switched off all power
management functions when plugged in through the BIOS. The screen
doesn't bank when running W2K, unfortunately it does after a certain
period, within Gnome. Is there a setting somewhere that fixes this?
