Prevent nautilus from popping up on mount

Hi list,

I am using RedHat 8.0. I have disabled and un-installed magicdev and am
using automount to mount my cd's, floppies and nfs shares.

Nautilus keeps popping a window open, as soon as any access is made to
the automounted directories. Even if I am browsing some-other directory,
for no apparent reason the cdrom gets mounted and nautilus pops up
another window. I would really like to know how to disable this if
possible. I tried searching for an option setting but couldn't find it.
