It seems that there's a problem with Pango - try recompiling it and 
make sure that Xfs backend is configured/enabled there. After you 
rebuild Plang, you will have to rebuild some packages that depend on 
it as well, these are GTK+, gnome-canvas, gnomeui, bonoboui (and maybe 
some others?)
You can check whether pangoxfs backend is enabled by running 
pango-querymodules, running fc-cache might also help.
