blocking viruses

*sigh*

a) can whichever of you is using a thrice cursed Windows machine without
a virus scanner get a bloody clue and install one?
b) is it possible to get even a basic virus scanner on the mail list
manager?  even just a super basic attachment stripper that rips off
Windows executable file types?  (the latter will catch 95% of viruses
easily, with the only big exception being those recent viruses with the
password protected ZIP attachments, which themselves can be caught given
how ZIP files aren't used much in the UNIX world...)
