problem building pygtk

In my continuing saga to build gnome-games I have now run into another
problem building pygtk.
It configures ok, but when I run make it gets to here
gdk.c:19190: error: 'GDK_TYPE_APP_LAUNCH_CONTEXT' undeclared
I'm lost.
