saved sessions

When logging out and back in again shouldn't Gnome save the location of apps
set to run on startup? For instance I have GKrellm running in my 3rd desktop.
When logging out and back in Gnome places it in the 1st desktop however KDE
will remember the location and place it where it was in the 3rd one. I have
'save sessions' set in the Gnome config.
