Cursor position

I know that there is a function to enable a user to see the position of
the cursor on the screen.

I think it may be more natural to give the user key combination/s that
will set the cursor to a predefined position/s. The user often doesn't
want to know where the cursor was, but wants it in a known/useful place.


Suggestions anyone?
