hi,
is it possible to set a string value with an environment variable?
I'd like to display the user's name under the icon of the computer. This
is possible if you edit it manually:
/apps/nautilus/desktop/computer_icon_name, choose string and enter a
string. However, I would like it to be the default: string -> $USER's
pc.
If I enter that, it does not expand to the user's name, I see literally
$USER's pc.
Is it possible to do this (gnome 2.30.0, fedora 13).
