I have got an old laptop running vesa graphics. In this machine GNOME 3
went to fallback mode, which is sort of an hybrid: you have menus in
the top panel, a windows list at the bottom, but no desktop.

Tried Desktop Sharing with that laptop as server and worked fine, but
the other way round, with a full GNOME 3 as server, is unusable. Don't
know how this would perform with a more powerful client.
