Porting GNOME to IBM AIX

Hi,
    Does anyone know of an effort to port the latest version of GNOME(3?)
to IBM AIX 5.3 / 6.1 / 7.1 O/S?
    It seems that thunderbird, seamonkey and firefox require
the newer version of the GNOME modules than the one's available from
IBM and Bull.
