Please add an option (perhaps in dconf) that gnome core apps don't
display files from download directory. Usually the download directory is
a folder where your files are stored temporarily before being processed
and stored elsewhere as the "Documents", "Music", "Photo" folder, etc.
Download folder is our Inbox and receive all kinds of files from the
internet, bluetooth connections and other sources. It's annoying to open
gnome-documents and view files that you dont want to have there, see
images of icons on a web page downloaded or application in gnome-photos
or sounds and recording of the last meeting that play in gnome-music by
mistake.
It has happened many times and I have to constantly clean my Downloads
folder to prevent this behavior. However, I believe that strongly
influences the user workflow and therefore I propose it as a
configuration option in dconf.
Cheers
