[gnome-love] Cut and Past in LInux

I don't know if it is just my computer or if it is a Linux thing, but 
when copying and pasting text from one application to another it not 
always work. Say for instance if I copy text [ edit->copy ] from AbiWord 
and try to paste it [edit->paste] into NEdit, it does not work!

Anybody?
