So you woke up today and thought, "God its a good day to start hacking!".
(Even if you didn't, read on.....please :-) ).
"Wouldn't it be wonderful if I had something to hack one. Some thing GUI,
something involving monkeys (hint bonobo), something GNU!"
And then you saw that the Gnome landscape was cluttered with applications
of various kind, all doing well. How could you possibly make a mark for
yourself in there?
Well its you lucky day sonny! Checkout peacock.sf.net for a project in need.
(and no I didn't redirect to the European Software Patents Protest page).
Its fun, its exciting, its GNU!!!

P.S. While I'm at it I thought I'd give some intro. Peacock is an HTML Editor
for Gnome from the early days of "October Gnome" (those were the days).
Initially inspired by bluefish (still going strong), it sort to keep a
clean and standard interface using the latest gnome technologies (fancy word
for libraries). Continuing in its ground breaking tradition of using
latest gnome libs, Peacock-2, a rewrite plus port to gnome2 is coming along,
waiting for a 1.9.1 release (leading up to 2.0) (also almost there).
So if you like to get your hands dirty (but keep the code clean!), get
your CVS Head copy from peacock.sf.net today and start hacking!
