Hi all,
I have recently purchased a digital camera and went to put the images on
the Internet and couldn't see a Gnome application which created
thumbnails. Does anyone know of one?
gThumb will make the thumbnails and the pages if you want to publish you
photos. gThumb is a photo management app that can pull photo directly
from your camera or from a file system. It has catalog and publishing
features.

You can customize the presentation of the Web pages with CSS or create a
whole new theme;

If no one knows of such an application, I may find time to create one
and wanted to know if the Gnome community thought it might be of use?
I found a script online that did it, but perhaps a simple gnome
application which is more configurable and allows people to publish
their images/movies with more ease is required.
The GNOME desktop has many thumbnailers. Mydesktop thumbnails images,
videos, and pdfs. I have these installed
/usr/bin/gnome-theme-thumbnailer
/usr/bin/gnome-thumbnail-dia
/usr/bin/gnome-thumbnail-font
/usr/bin/gnome-thumbnail-gimp
/usr/bin/gnome-thumbnail-magick
/usr/bin/gnome-thumbnail-pdf
/usr/bin/gnome-thumbnail-postscript
/usr/bin/gst-thumbnail
/usr/bin/totem-video-thumbnailer
gnome-thumbnail-magick will thumbnail most images.
$ gnome-thumbnail-magick src.jpg thumb.jpg [pixel-width]
pixel-width will default to 128.
Any thoughts on this appreciated.
