Sorry if this is slightly off-topic, but,
I'm running Fedora Core 3 and I would like to upgrade from GTK-2.4.x to
Gtk2-6.
Is this possible?
And if so, will it break any existing apps?
How could I do it? (Use yum?)
Thanks,
Haran
Yeah its off topic, but here goes... :)
Copy this file into /etc/yum.repo/ and name it rawhide.repo"
[rawhide]
name=Fedora Core $releasever - Development Tree
#baseurl=http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/development/$basearch/
mirrorlist=http://fedora.redhat.com/download/mirrors/fedora-core-rawhide
gpgcheck=0
enabled=0
then type `yum --enablerepo=rawhide update gtk2`
Rawhide is the pre-release stuff so sometimes it doesnt always work, so
be careful what you install from there.
Next time you should try here
http://fedora.redhat.com/participate/communicate/
Cheers,
Ryan
