Hey,
We're calling for volunteers interested in smoketesting the Gnome
release again. Up this time is Gnome 2.13.3. The basic instructions
to do so are up at http://blogs.gnome.org/view/newren/2005/10/04/0. A
few things to keep in mind:
- "anonymous anoncvs gnome org" was due to the email defanging of
the blogging software (despite not being a real email address).
Change that text to "anonymous anoncvs gnome org".
- Don't forget to "export PATH=~/bin:$PATH" after running make
install if it's not in your path already (if you don't know whether
it's in your path, just assume it isn't. Yeah, I should have put it
in the instructions but didn't think about it at the time)
- Since this is 2.13.3 instead of 2.12.0, the URL for step 4 is
http://ftp.gnome.org/pub/GNOME/teams/releng/2.13.3/sample-tarball.jhbuildrc
- Likewise the URL for step 5 changes to jhbuild -m
http://ftp.gnome.org/pub/GNOME/teams/releng/2.13.3/gnome-2.13.3.modules
build
Also, Vincent wrote up extra instructions last time; you may find them
helpful: http://www.vuntz.net/journal/2005/11/15/343-smoketesting-gnome-2132.
Happy testing,
John (J5) Palmieri <johnp redhat com>
