I think this list is fine for all sorts of gnome
chitchat :)
I am getting really irritated with my keyboard. It
has no indicators for
the state of CapsLock and friends. I thought it'd be
nice to have a
little applet in my GNOME menu that indicates the
state of the keyboard.
Is there such a thing already?
Do you mean the panel or the notification area?
Yous hould be aware that the notification area will
one day have some sort of a drastic revamp (details on
the wiki, I'm not too sure of it myself).
I don't know of any such applet, though perhaps the
access keys indicator covers what you want?
If not, a keyboard modifier applet would need to
include indicators for the more bizarre things such as
the compose key, 3rd and 4th level modifiers, and so on.
