Hmm. I think it's a bad idea, because:
- Rhythmbox is collection-oriented, not directory or file-oriented, so
this would be a mix of concepts.
- The UI would be horribly cluttered, someone already sent me a mockup:
  http://people.nl.linux.org/~jorn/Files/nautilus-rhythmbox-view.jpg
  Note the two toolbars.. :)

As for the whole music view business, I'm not sure it's really a good
idea.. why swallow whole a music player into a file manager?
I mean, preview and single file stuff is cool, but a full fledged thing
.. that's what apps are for. IMHO file managent and advanced music
playback don't really mix :)

I've been using a Mac lately and what I really like there is that Finder
is very fast, has a really simple UI, and doesnt have any of the view
bloat: to view a file it just launches a simple viewer app, and very
quickly too. My experience is that it works a lot better, since those
apps do exactly what they are meant to do and are not limited by the
nautilus shell, and are a lot faster and more reliable.

Well, that is my vision about an ideal Nautilus as well ;) small,
lightweight, and ideally with the nice columned view :)

BTW, i submitted a patch to nautilus several months ago that ported the
musicview and nautilus sound previews to monkeymedia.

Cheers
Jorn
