Err... that they are not localized ?  (Though they are somewhat accented ;)

Seriously, I think startup/shutdown sounds should be just that, "sounds" 
rather than contentful messages.  I'd also prefer we avoid the 
over-the-top "this is the sound of the space age orchestra" trend and do 
something easy on the ears.
