It compiles now. Can't make it actually work, but then again I haven't
really tried very hard :) I mostly wanted to see the UI, and it looks
good, although lacking a first time wizard. Also we need to get the
notification area onto the panel by default[1] otherwise it's not
obvious that it's running.
