Hi,
I never sorted out being able to compile
pilot-link/gnome-pilot/evolution to be able to synch with my m515 using
USB, so decided to try to get a network sync working!
So I've managed to get a ppp conection working, and can now browse the
web from my m515 when on it's cradle!
But using pi-csd and pilot-xfer -p . -l I get:-
scotgate2:/dev# pilot-xfer -p '.' -l
ERROR: Is a directory
Unable to bind to port '.'
Please use --help for more information
If i just use:-
scotgate2:/dev# pilot-xfer -p '.'
Time elapsed: 0:00:00
So what am I doing wrong here?
Why cannot pilot-xfer connect?
pi-csd gives:-
scotgate2:~% pi-csd
pi-csd(1038): Connection Service Daemon for Palm Computing(tm) device
active.
pi-csd(1038): Accepting connection requests for 'scotgate2' at
10.10.10.1 with mask 255.255.255.0.
pi-csd(1038): Connection from palm.scotgate[10.10.10.6], req
'scotgate2', 10.10.10.1, 0.0.0.0 = accept.
pi-csd(1038): Connection from palm.scotgate[10.10.10.6], req
'scotgate2', 10.10.10.1, 0.0.0.0 = accept.
My palm is 10.10.10.6 and my main machine is 10.10.10.1
I can ping the palm from my main machine, and like i said can browse the
web from the palm.
I'm using Debian/Sid and their latest debs of pilot-link etc...
I'm assuming that gnome-pilot (which says is compatible with network
synching) is capable of a network sync!!
Any help etc... woudl be mightily appreciated!!
Cheers
Chris
