Sync with visor

Hi,
After a long hiatus, I tried to sync Evolution (1.0.4) with my visor. I
got it to work, sort of. If I start gpilotd from the command line, the
visor will sync once, but always fails after that. If I kill giplotd and
restart it, I can sync once more, but after that, no go. I'm using the
USB port on a 2.4.9-12 kernel (rh 7.1). Here's what gpilotd writes to
sdtout/err:
