compiling 0.1.71 against RH8.0

Hi,

I'm having troubles compiling gnome-pilot 0.1.71 against Redhat 8.0 --
the configure goes OK (with the suggested flags from the README), but
the make fails with parse errors in pilot.c .  Any suggestions/pointers?
