You may have hit the bugs reported in these items:
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=165455
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=321947
I haven't been following Suse 10.1, but there was a known bug in their
gnome-pilot package recently enough. I don't know if the fix
has been pushed to 10.1 updates, but it was certainly available from
the factory repository, as:
gnome-pilot-2.0.13-45.src.rpm.
Let us know how you get on. If you still have problems, let us know
what gnome-pilot and pilot-link packages you are using. Suse have patched
both of these, so let us know the full Suse package version, rather than
just the base gnome-pilot/pilot-link version number.
Hope this helps,
Matt
