This might be related to some recent update.
Or maybe just a bug that is triggered by something I've done.
The machine is HP Paviliion dv5.
My power light is flashing. The manual says
Blinking: A battery that is the only available power
source has reached a low battery level. When the
battery reaches a critical battery level, the battery
light begins blinking rapidly.
Software is fedora 14, kernel 2.6.35.10-74.fc14.x86_64
If you tell me what other components to look for I can tell you
the versions I have installed.
The big problem is that I'm in a state where, if I unplug the power,
I see the power meter going down as it should, but when I plug in
again it seems not to recharge. The power icon says fully charged,
though as soon as I unplug it I see the previous number (now down to
67%)
The power statistics device history window records points when
unplugged but not when plugged.
BTW, when I put my mouse on the power icon I see two identical
messages (currently "Laptop battery is fully charged").
I expect reboot will solve the problem for a while. I guess that's
what I'll have to do when I get down to zero.
