And you are thinking ONLY in the terms of big IT department.
No, I'm pointing out something that you're ignoring. It's just as
valid for home users. I can't very easily print a full page on either
of my printers (an EX and an 870) because my root (i. e. /var/tmp) is
too small -- only about 200 MB free.
The right way takes into account both. But desktop people need up-to-art
printing NOW, or the World Domination will be stalled ;)
Fine. So help our team write the CUPS driver and PPD files, and
package up the Ghostscript driver, write a cool printer admin tool for
the home desktop, and we can more quickly hold up our side.
